GrassRootsDIY is Being Remade

Hey everyone, I’m working on the site right now. Most of the original pages will be available again soon, along with many new ones. So far I have posted a new rocketry page and a page regarding how to go about buying professional fireworks, both under the Pyrotechnic Arts tab, and an updated sodium metal page under Hazardous Experiments. Give them a look!

More to come soon. In the meantime, feel free to head over to my YouTube channel and check out some of my video projects: http://www.youtube.com/user/Nighthawkinlight

hi ben, for many years i was an under water welder, and your video on the thermite torch made me want to contact you . we use to use a/an ultra thermite rod for burning under the water. simply put this was constructed of an outer steel tube and on the inside wall of the tube was a row of steel rods and one rod of magnesium . with these rods the center was left open to send a charge of oxygen ( for the obvious reason ,to keep the darn thing lit under water ) but also to blow the slag out of the cut .i have used these many ,many times. i have used them to cut through steel up to almost 5 inches thick (the only barrier to the thickness is limited to the slag blow back ) and believe it or not concreat an even rocks . contact me if you want moore info/ instruction or would like me to mail you one of the u.t.rods i still have in the shed. tinman out
