Thank you very much! I don’t know if you’ve heard of this but on youtube there are people who make stuff out of something called hardened paper, which is basically layer upon layer of glued paper that is used to form hard shapes. Would a cylinder of this material be suitable?

For fireworks rockets the only material that is safe to use for the engine is cardboard. Parallel wound cardboard tubes are the standard.

Hey, I love your youtube channel and I’ve been watching just about every video you’ve made. I haven’t gotten into rocketry yet and at some point i want to. I just have a question about the outside of your rockets. What material do you use for the shells?

No, I cannot. Another lighter that will work is the Scripto Aim ‘N Flame II Lighter, which is carried by Home Depot.

Clearly the primary issue is that the sound is more like that of a traditional steel drum rather than a hang, but I think I have that problem figured out enough to correct it in this next model.

This project needs a high volume of air, so a bike pump will not work unless it is used to charge a larger tank from which the gun can be fed.
